Editor’s note (July 2026): This article records the 2025 change from Rally to Quely. The current product model is an intelligence layer built around Spaces, Queue, Units, Orbit, Signals, Lenses, and Ownership.
We have some exciting news to share with you today.
When we first launched Rally, our goal was simple: help teams communicate and align better around their work. We started this mission by focusing on how teams drive alignment during the development of software based projects. But over the past few years, something incredible happened. As we listened to our community and watched them use the product in ways we hadn’t imagined, our purpose evolved. Today, we’re excited to share the next step in that journey:
Rally is now Quely.
This isn’t just a new name. It’s a reflection of a bigger, bolder vision for the future of team collaboration.
Why the Change?
Quely is designed for teams that need to connect work with context across functions and systems.
At its core, Quely is an intelligence layer across the systems teams already use. It organizes work and synthesized context so people can understand what is happening, what needs attention, and who owns the next move.
Our Evolved Vision
The product vision has become more concrete:
Connect execution and context across systems so teams can make clearer decisions and act with ownership.
The model now consists of:

✅ A Queue containing Work Units and Context Units
✅ Orbit, the conversational and analytical interface
✅ Signals for decisions, questions, risks, action items, dependencies, blockers, assumptions, commitments, and themes
✅ Lenses for examining the same context from different perspectives
✅ Ownership for responsibility, current commitments, workload, and available capacity
Who Is Quely For?
Quely is for teams whose execution and context are fragmented across systems. That can include:
Product & Engineering (scoping new features, sprint planning)
Sales & Customer Success (collaborating on custom enterprise deals)
Marketing (aligning with engineering for launch campaigns)
Legal & Compliance (ensuring regulatory commitments are met)
Finance (collaborating on spend optimization)
Quely gives those teams a shared intelligence model for understanding work, surfacing Signals, and clarifying Ownership.
The Problems We're Still Solving
The challenges that brought you to Rally haven't disappeared. In fact, they've become even more pressing as teams become distributed and project complexity grows.
Scattered conversations still plague teams, with critical work discussions buried across email threads and chat channels. When you need context, it's scattered across different channels.
Unrealistic sprint planning continues to derail teams through overcommitment and scope creep, often due to unclear task definitions and poor visibility into actual team capacity.
Fragmented tools force teams to juggle between Slack, Jira, Confluence, and countless other platforms just to stay aligned on basic project information.
Meeting overload remains a productivity problem. Microsoft’s Work Trend Index identified inefficient meetings as the leading productivity disruptor in its survey, reinforcing the need to separate context-sharing from decisions that genuinely require live discussion.
Where the Product Stands Now
The 2026 product model is organized around a stable set of concepts:
Spaces and Queue organize work and context. Orbit reasons across those Units. Signals and Lenses turn connected information into usable perspectives. Ownership carries responsibility, commitments, workload, and available capacity into execution.
